Miyconst just a heads up in regards to a potential processor and platform bargain.
Brand new x299 boards have been on clearance sale on and off at my local amazon for
around 100 euro and in taobao at least processors like the 7940x can be bought for just 210 euro.

What is more interesting is that there is apparently a 7920x QS sample for just 151 euro, I do believe
if you manage to snag one of these off chance clearance motherboard off amazon it might be able to
kick start a potential build.

I personally got a 7940x for 210 euro, x299 ROG-E for 115 euro, and a Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT
cooler for 26 to cool the potential fire hazard. Unfortunately, i only found out that the 7920x QS sample
existed after I bought the 7940x :(, however still I can't wait to test it out.

Looking forward to see another X79 build! Never heard of the Q CPUs, will be very interesting! Some time ago i asked, why you don't test more X79 boards. They are a great option for low budget PC builds, especially for gaming PCs under 300 Euros (when you can get a decent graphics card cheap or already have one). Would be nice to see more X79...

Using a QNCT with a biostar Z170GTN, used with a B150GT5 too (and by the way i was using it with DDR4 at 2400Mhz and the chipset limit is 2133, so, yeah (haha)).
Moving now to an Asus VIII Impact (if the motherboard is really alive) and lets see if i can do any kind of overclock and use Samsung B-Die chips at low timings once that i probably will be limited with 2400/2666Mhz (biostar doesnt post with 2666, maybe i'm just doing something wrong too)

Btw the igpus probably work, i use the igpu with qnct

I'm running an E5 2690 V2 with all 10 cores running at up to 3.3MHz. I use it for video rendering. I'm VERY happy with it. The CPU's are selling on eBay for $85, and they ship way faster than Ali Express, and are usually cheaper.

the main problem with these mutant cpus is you need to use a bios mod to run it, so you need a processor of same socket to mod the bios. its only cost effective if you already have lots of cpus at hand

i was thinking of qnct (6/12 8th gen) or 1650v2. Went with xeon. A battle between both would be interesting!
