selene is the goddess of the moon. hold on a minute, i think i might be onto something here.

Edit: I've been thinking about this song a lot and how I can come up with a more poetic interpretation but my mind's not cooperating and this is all that I've got.

NIKI is the ocean. So vast and so deep for a normal human being to explore. Although she's got that much space to herself, someone is above her. Watching and waiting.

Selene is the goddess of the moon. She who guards us all whenever darkness envelopes parts of the world. But there is more to her than just light. She's also got power over water.

The ocean is too unpredictable. So calm yet so wild. So beautiful no matter how risky.

The moon? She keeps the ocean in her place. Controlling it by constantly pushing and pulling through its waves.

And until the sun rises again, the moon will be taking over her. And there's nothing that she can do about it.

There's just something so powerful about the moon. Especially when it's full.
