Hi Nicola, I've enjoyed your channel. I can relate to you. I started growing cut flowers last year, and I've loved the privilege of having access to flowers that bring joy and smiles to other people when I create my Mason jar bouquets. 😊

The dahlias were a delightful surprise for me, and now I'm hooked! This year, the best dinnerplate was Break Out because I never ran out of the creamy, pinkish blush blooms that last a long time in the vase! They were stunning with my Francis Meilland and Munstead Wood roses. Break Out has a yellow glow in the center as well, making her lovely paired with other peachy varieties of dahlias and peachy pink roses like Princess Charlene de Monaco or Carding Mill.

Milena Fleur was another one. I couldn't keep up with harvesting from my 5 plants, though! 😅

I loved the orange colored dahlias this year, Happy Single (HS) Date and Maarn were so happy.

I recommend American Dawn and Fascination too. American Dawn was a coral colored decorative with a purplish (is that a word?) 😅 center. It was such a good producer as well.
Dahlia Fascination was a stunning plant. The whole thing was gorgeous! The foliage was rich and dark, and the nearly black stems supported very proudly its bright rosy pink flowers dotted with a yellow center. The plants worked so hard in my garden and just stopped visitors in their tracks. Some even said it looked fake because it was so perfect!

I hope you find another new dahlia that brings you great joy next year! I apologize if I made the selection process more difficult. 😅

Great video. I assumed all dahlias would work equally well for cutting. Clearly not! Thanks for the heads up.
