I was a rare left leaning sheriff's deputy in FL and in the most conservative district in FL. It was miserable, the stuff my coworkers believed was insane. One day a few months ago I woke up and decided I literally couldn't look at 99 percent of them anymore. I wanted to be part of the change in law enforcement that this country needs, but when your surrounded by absolute nonsense it's impossible to stay positive. So seeing this amount of death amongst leos in FL is the least surprising thing. I saw yesterday that a deputy in my county passed away from covid, he was 36 and had 6 children and a wife. I feel for his family, but with 6 kids and a job dealing with the public, you would think one would take any precautions available....but nope. Half this country is full of the most selfish individuals alive.
