XPENG (or XiaoPeng) is another chinese car brand that tries to get a foothold in Europe. They are going to try that with the P7 sedan and G9 SUV. So how good is the XPENG P7? I tried to find that out with this performance version.

Pronouncing it as XPeng is correct. That's what it's known as internationally. In the Chinese market, it's known as Xiao Peng.

Nice review, but would have been great if you had checked to see if it actully do charge with 185 kw. And also tested from 10 to 80 % can it do it in less then 30 min?

The same team that designed or designs Porsche was part of building this car for the exact reason of making it sporty:). Perhaps you didn’t drive it correctly 😅

These cars & many others all look very good, but why isn’t it a hatchback? These body shapes lend themselves to hatchback design, not a little opening to put in your goods. The best selling Tesla Model 3 is the same, that would be much better as a hatchback.

It’s a beautiful design, but the Chinese have zero fantasy. All the innovation is coming out of the US and China is just copying. I don’t know if I want to support that philosophy.

The car might offer more features for the same amount of money, but my concerns are software user experience, reliability and privacy, hardware reliability longer term, local support, repair cost/speed, and as the reviewer mentioned: brand reliability.

I also wonder if real world driving is living up to the specs. There’s also no historical data to rely on so we just have to believe range, drag coefficient…?
Do you get the support of updates to maps and other services and how much is properly localized to the market/country you’re in?
