An excellent condition thrift store find. By the date code it was made in 1977. The classic Coleman stove.

That was a steal. I've got one I got with Green Stamps, still works.

I still have the two burner my Mother used camping, and I found a three burner at a thrift store for five bucks.. Nothing tastes better then bacon and eggs cooked in cast iron on a Coleman

You can use it when you're camping out in an igloo this year! Old Coleman stuff in priceless in my eyes, nice score.

I have my Dad's old Coleman Gas Stove from the 50's.
I have used it for my heat source for pouring bullets and sinkers for many years.
Mine looks like it has been through the war.

I remember when just about every station carried "white gas" and dad would run white gas in his.  I have that old stove and another one from the early 70's and neither of them are for sale.  I'd love to find one of the old single burner GI issue ones like you have.

I was just using one yesterday to cast bullets.   I have two of them.  One for camping and one for casting bullets.  I've always been afraid to use unleaded gas because of the fumes.   $20 is a steal.  I had one since I was a kid in the 70's.  The other I bought for spare parts at a garage sale for $40.  Very cool Looms.

Have 3 of them and 2 of the "Guide" version.  The model 413H Powerhouse.  That version is the Papa size and can take full sizepots, one on each side.  They are awesome stoves and last for ever.  I have a 70's version and the leather cup inside the pump is original and still works perfect.  I got a 1995 425 and it had a rubber pump cup and was bad.  Replaced it with a leather pumping cup and she works perfect.  Stansport also make a simple fuel conversion item that attaches to those one pound propane canisters and you can go propane on those stoves too, making it more versatile.  Great for car camping and home backup incase power's out.  Emergency preparation staple.

Great camping stove. Two burners is the way to go for sure.

I find them and the old gas lanterns for $1 or $2 at garage sales.  Other than old timers, no one in this country seems to want these any more.  I too, use plain unleaded gas.

I follow your guidance. I’d rather have old quality over new junk. Hope all is well sir

Yes sir, just picked one up today for 20 bucks stamped 1976. Looks like it was stored in a time capsule, even has the original box

I have one just like that I got on e-Bay a few years ago for the same price. In the original box it came in when new.  Can't beat them.

Mine came from the flea market, hard to beat.

I think the one I have is about the same age, a 1978 if I recall.  Got it at a thrift store last year for $15.  About the same condition as yours, just had to put in a new pump assembly and replaced the fuel cap.  It works great now.

I just use regular unleaded fuel as well.  Can't see paying the ridiculous $10/gal of "coleman fuel" same damn fuel as you get at the gas station just a little more refined...maybe.  I just get enough fuel to run it when I need it, and if any fuel is left I dump it back in the gas can to use in my lawn mower.

Thanks for pointing out that you can use regular unleaded in this stove. I was given one very similar to this for my tenth birthday in 1993. I still have it and it works great.
On another note, I really like that you buck the "minimalist" movement that appears to have taken hold of much of modern masculine society.

I have a 426D 3 burner, bought is new a couple years ago. It's GREAT. If you ever come through Casper, let me know and I'll give you several gallons of Coleman fuel-I get it free.
