Puzzle along with your own solid color jigsaw puzzle or just follow this emotional roller coaster of me trying to figure this out. Please share your tips and ideas because Daniel and I are completely lost. This is probably one of the most challenging jigsaw puzzle for me so far.

0:00 - Intro: What is a Krypt jigsaw puzzle?
0:54 - Day 1: First impression (= confusion)
7:45 - Day 2: Trying my best to stay sane…
10:52 - Day 3: Finally some progress!
12:09 - Day 4: Tips from followers & Strategy meeting with Daniel
23:59 - Outro & What is going to happen next?!

Living outside of Finland but wish to see links to puzzles in my descriptions? Let me know and I will try to make it happed for the future videos!

I hope they won't choose this for the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championships anytime soon in the next 50 years. :D Because this puzzler would not have it. But I guess it would be another type of puzzling content and not speed puzzling. That could be actually interesting!

Okay! More awesome insights from my followers: There are 4 different Krypt cuts, even though there are +10 different Krypts. Apparently there are 9 Krypts from new series and 4(?) for old series. This also allows to mix up with same cut Krypts! :)

By some happy coincidence, I happen to be doing this puzzle right now. I'm about 6 hours in and half-way done. It's not as hard as it seems once you have a good strategy in place. Here's what I recommend:

1. Sort by shape as follows: edge pieces, transition pieces (pieces with angles that indicate a change from circle to square and vice-versa), rounded pieces, straight double pieces, and standard pieces in their own separate piles.
2. Sub-sort the double and standard shapes by size and orientation. The pieces go from smaller to larger as you build towards the edge.
3. Now put the edge pieces and large pieces of any shape aside. You won't need those for a while since you are working from the center out.
4. Starting from the center, build up the concentric circles until you reach the transition and then use the transition pieces to complete the rectangle shaped center area.
5. Use the straight double and regular pieces to build the middle area starting with the smaller pieces and working towards the outer larger pieces until you reach the next transition.
6. Complete with the remaining transition pieces and edges.
It's my divide and conquer strategy for this type of puzzles.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

Good luck! I don't think I would ever attempt this puzzle. Give me a 4000 piece any day of the week, but this is beyond me. I admire your persistence.

I love how you keep your natural reactions in the video and don't edit them out. It makes me feel like I am hanging out with you 😊 I did that one too (in teal color, custom order). Boy it was tough... ended up using the box...

Well this is certainly a learning curve for you. I have no interest in solid colour puzzles so wouldn't attempt a Krypt anyway. Sorting by shape is no doubt a good way to tackle it. As you have seen from the box, it starts as a circle and finishes as a rectangle. It's how to achieve that final shape that is the brain teaser. 🧠 Perseverance and slow and steady will get you there in the end. 🐌 I shall look forward to part two.

I really wanted to try a Krypt, but I am so happy now that I bought a Gradient one, and didn’t buy the gold one I saw at the thriftstore!

I thought about trying this puzzle but now that I'm seeing you try to assemble it, i actually think that I'm really not ready yet 😅

I think it's very fair and intended to study the picture on the back of the box to get the "idea" of the cut. Like, what pattern it is. You then can put it aside and not use it to find individual pieces. It was a bit painful to watch you trying to figure out the cut pattern by description only 😅
I did the mint metallic one using the cut picture and found it nicely mindless and relaxing.

I did the gradient one and loved it. Don’t think I ever will try a solid colour one. 😅
