Simon Phillips has ALWAYS been a complete and total badass on the drums. Even though he performs a solo during this particular show he doesn’t really need to simply because of how he plays. His solo is each and every song. He knows how to take each note from the band and accentuate it and really bring it to life without overdoing it. He knows where and when to place a fill and STILL keep the groove going. He’s definitely a drummers drummer 👍

For me the band in his prime! To bad for the autotune which is heavily used. Simons drum sound one of the best he has sounded!

I consider myself extremely lucky, that i've have had opportunity to see ToTo performing live in Helsinki, november 11th, 2002. I did "fell in love" w ToTo as a youngster, when a friend of mine generously lend me a few C-casettes (Farenheit & Isolation, I recon), to play in my car stereo and oh boy, did I play 'em?. 🙂 Albums, up to Mindfields can be found on bookself. The quality of the recordings of ToTo has always been a top notch ... imo.
