Btw, you can also use a digital modeling amp and just connect it to your laptop. This is great, especially if you already have pedals

GarageBand is UNDERRATED. I've used it for many years and I have some songs recorded with its native instruments, even tho I can't mix or produce very well, I feel like it sounds very good for a free software. And it includes OFFICIAL ROLANDS, LINNDRUMS and SIMMONS drum machines :) FOR FREE!

i use reaper with line6 and overloud th-u slate. These are enough for me, reaper is really good in recording music and plugins make very realistic sound

There’s a free browser one that you can get the exact tune and tone famous players made. It’s sick. Juliana Casablancas from the strokes had some awesome sounding ones I recommend

I’d recommend the daw reaper. It’s not the prettiest daw, but it works better than pro tools.

Cakewalk by band lab is a free daw on windows( it may be free on Mac but I don’t know)

The most important piece that will finally make it sound real is the Cab Sim. Without it, everything will sound sht.

Where do you listen to the output? I don’t know if monitors is the right choice if i am only playing guitar. And headphones can be pretty annoying sometimes

You don't need a DAW, use a VST host. Cheaper, faster and less RAM memory used. Gig Performer.
