I don't know whether to be inspired or kick my guitar into a fireplace. Damn.

Not only is Yvette a great guitarist and songwriter but the drummer and bassist in Covet are just as good and they all have a cohesive sound that feeds off one another. She aint just a great guitar player shes a great musician and Covet isn't just a look at me shred over backing track type of band. Every note is a piece of the music.

She talks about music as if it is mostly visual. So interesting

I'm so happy math rock is getting the recognition it deserves. Some of the most talented guitar players I've ever seen are math rock guitarists.

She incorporated bunch of piano techniques and made them work for Guitar in a very unique and creative way. Combine that with open tunings and you get this! Simply amazing!!!

Yvette is one of the best and most creative guitarists I've ever heard in my life, she's soooo underrated. And the fact that she's a multidisciplinary artist who plays other instruments and is super good at drawing/painting and was able to create her own fictional universe i just- wow. Got me wondering if she's even human. A real gem. On top of that she seems like a sweet person. I wish her and her band would come to France but it never happens with that kind of bands😔

Yvette is one of those people that's so good and so painfully humble you kind of want to shake them and make them say "I am good".

It's quite bittersweet watching her play the instrument. On one hand it's a very unique and brilliant approach to playing guitar. I've never seen someone use tapping in that manor before. It's quite inspiring to see how see creates and plays. But on the other hand I watch her play and then I ponder what the hell have I done with my life up until this point.

What I really like about her playing is that she produces a lot of "sus 9" which I like doing when playing the piano or the guitar (in standard tuning).
Very interesting and pleasant to hear.

Not only is Yvette amazing at all of her chosen instruments, it's really amazing to watch musicians who are just as excited talking about playing they are actually playing. It's one of my favourite things to see.

I love the way she breaks down how she writes. It's so interesting and I fresh. Also, I've noticed how she explains complex things so simply, as opposed to others who try to complicate their processes.

Not to NOT talk about her talent. But her humility is awesome. I love when true talent does not brag, show off or sitting on a high horse. THAT is inspiring to me. That you can be great, and at the same time NOT be an ass about. May she/her band get great succes and may they be happy through their expand of life on this earth. Stay awesome out there. Peace and love! <3

For all the beginners who are watching this and wondering why they can't play like this:
she's mostly playing in non-standard open tunings (like Dadd9 open). Also, don't forget about the capo.
I don't know why but modern guitarists don't really use capos anymore (on electric guitars).
If you're a beginner you should practice your rudiments. Technique-wise the most challenging aspect here is the fingerpicking so practice that first.

Yvette rules. Not my cup of tea stylistically, but she still rules.
