I'm German and I live in a small town near Hamburg. It's an area where the Anglo Saxons came from, which is today the states of Schleswig-Holstein and the northern part of Lower Saxony. A young guy living in my town is a 100% lookalike of Harry Kane, the English national football player. Not just his face and hair is similar, but also his figure is. It's fascinating how some heritage has endured over centuries. Maybe there are some other lookalikes in the USA and Australia.

The history of English immigration is crazy....I did my DNA and it turns out over half of my DNA comes from outside England. I’ve got Norwegian, Irish and Welsh in me.

I find the history of Britain very interesting as it has been a confluence of so many cultures over the centuries. This is clearly seen in the English language which has been influenced very heavily by heaps of other languages. Celts, Germans, Norse, French, Latin & Greek/Arabic learning, plus all that Britain brought home from its empire.

Also, the maps may not be 100% accurate. But I think this is the best we could do with the limited information we have available.

I got a question, are the English part Jute? My ancestry DNA put me in a community called south east England, I red that the jutes had the south eastof England, does that mean I'm part Danish? Because the jutes came from modern day Denmark while Saxons and Angles came from modern day north Germany and Netherlands, thanks.

England literally means land of the angles.

Why do germanic peoples reject the Celts, they both look exactly the same, and just because they were taken over and defeated by these northern germanic tribes doesn't mean that they are inferior. And also just because they were destroyed in England doesn't mean they were historically failures, they were successful in other parts of Europe like in Ireland, France, Spain and in regions of England like Scotland, Cornwall and Whales.

This would be a great live action show since the shows have only been about saxons and Vikings

In my opinion it was likely a small invasion mostly of men but the men had a high reproductive success rate causing the modern English population to be around 38% “Anglo-Saxon.” They also probably mixed with native women since the majority of English men have a “Germanic” haplogroup.

Could you please do Xhosa wars with the European Colonialists (Dutch and British) in South Africa. Known as the Frontier Wars or Cape Nguni Wars, or Africa's 100 Year War. Which were fought for over 100 years As from 1779-1894. To the Implantation of the Grey Land Act. Fought between 1779 - 1879. The Xhosa's are the only Native Africans on the entire Continent which had the longest colonial war. Nine major wars were fought. First frontier war was in (1779-1781) between the Dutch/Boers and Xhosa. And ninth frontier war was in 1877-1879. Between 1879-1894 was the annexation of all Xhosa kingdom to the British. Xhosa people were the first black people in South Africa to come into contact with the White settlers, were the first to fight them and were the last to be defeated by them (Among black peoples).
