Oh no, we're not getting a Switch 2 release this year... what a damn shame. =3= We already knew that it wouldn't be released this year. Only announced. Why are people thinking it's sooner? Plus, the Switch is still pretty damn good!

If its April or May then its fine, no big deal, its still early next year and it REALLY can't be later than that either cause A: Summer is no timing to launch a new console and B: The Switch 2 was originally intended to launch late this year anyway, they only pushed it back just a handfull of months to give the launch games some extra polish. A September/ October reveal is still on the table.

Right now I would like to be calm and more focused in other stuff, I'm on my 30ies and I need to change something in my lifestyle but I want to stop to be an "active gamer" with style (obtain my last game of my interest)

If this is the case then yeah we're going to get a September Direct that's still covering Switch as the main console. They'll likely announce new software and talk about existing stuff and we could be looking at a 2nd half 2025 launch. They are definitely beating the PS2 if this is the case.

I was expecting this. The switch is still financially doing good and the user base is great. Calling it right now: nintendo direct mini on September (focusing only on switch games obviously), switch 2 reveal on February 2025 and switch 2 release on May 2025.

I think 8 full years after the first Nintendo Switch is a pretty good gap, because not only does it provide enough time for Nintendo to potentially enhance their technology without rushing their own hardware to make sure it is as advanced as possible (unlike how PlayStations and Xboxes always do it), but it ensures that the first Nintendo Switch already sells well enough to conclude at the right quantity of time, which is no more than a couple of years less than a decade apart.

If PS6 and a next-gen Xbox do end up happening as soon as during 2027 or 2028, then I really hope that third-party game developers will focus on designing their third-party hardware specifically for Switch2 and NOT PS6 nor Xbox Platform (that's my placeholder name for it), because allowing PlayStations and Xboxes to ruin their stable support for third-party games on Nintendo Systems is not okay in my book!

This is actually earlier than I thought. I don't know why people want a new Switch so soon when there's a lot of great games coming to Switch this year.

It's funny 2+ years ago, some of the top Nintendo youtubers were calling out Switch 2 is coming & Switch is only going to get 5 years.

I commented no Switch 2 & kept saying it till this day on how Nin was never going to show Switch 2 & how they were aiming to beat PS2 sales 1st before they release Switch 2.

They said I was crazy & Nintendo wouldn't do that. Well, look how far we come without a Switch 2 & sales are closing in on PS2, so who's lol now.

Of course if I go visit their channel & ask them about it they are not going to acknowledge it & probably won't bother to comment back like that is always the case.

Here's to more Switch years support like 10 years+ so LFG Nin!!!

Im not in a rush for the successor, but im tired of MK8D and am wanting the next 3d mario already. And im sure new entries will not launch on the current switch.😮‍💨
