The 2024 Rose Bowl was one of the most hyped up playoff matchups of the playoff era and it certainly did not disappoint. A peaking top-ranked Michigan program looked to conquer its demons and achieve a long-desired semifinal victory against the most dominant program of the last decade. There were explosive plays, thundering hits, and plenty of emotions. Through it all, we witnessed a historic game in the final year of the four-team playoff. I remember the initial reaction when Alabama was announced and everyone flamed the Michigan fans reactions, as if we weren’t prepared to play Alabama…maybe in years past that woulda been the case but I felt (as well as many of the people in that room) shocked that fsu was left out and that’ is what manufactured that response. …in hind sight I’m glad it was the tide but at the time I was shocked that fsu got left out. Nothing more than that. Then what happened we rolled over bama and won the natty!

Michigan’s special teams was the only thing that kept Alabama around tbh. People slept so hard on Michigan and just refused to really look at what they were as a team. Alabama was an inferior team by a good bit. Star talent doesn’t always mean a team is great. People will come back in a few years and realize how special this team was.
