My guess as to why LB3 animations look better is because TT games had more time and money devoted to it. Where LDCSV had more time and money devoted to the free world and game mechanics.

It would've been nice to get more new character transformations. There's like 3 or 4 new ones. The same goes for the character animations, where a heck of a lot of them were taken from Lego Batman 3 or Lego Dimensions. It's irritating that they just copied and pasted the animations and transformations into this game.
