Hosea 3 of 4 Judgment

Hosea was a prophet sent to the Northern Kingdom of Israel (10 tribes) before their destruction by Assyria at 722BC. God had Hosea go after and marry a harlot. God showed His mercy extended but Israel would have none of it, instead they allied with other nations and were not faithful to their own husband. They would not turn to God their husband to know Him, obey Him, be faithful to Him. Judah, the Southern Kingdom (2 tribes) was faithful at the time, God saved them.
At the time of Jesus, most of Israel also rejected Him, saying, "We have no king but Caesar, crucify Him." They again exalted theirselves up in the world system. The actual harlot who they brought before Jesus called Him Lord and she was set free. Jesus said to her, "Go and sin no more”.
God extends His mercy to us, all we have to do is turn to Him as Lord and follow Him faithful to the end with His help. He made us, He loves us. His plan is not love for a short time but for eternity. He takes His faithful bride to love forever.
