I'm very much trying to stay positive in my situation as a single mother to a severely nonverbal autistic 9 year old boy. Zero child support or help. Yes, it's really hard, but I love my son. I am actively trying to get him in as many therapies and activities as possible. Trying to improve our situation and give him as many opportunities to gain life skills. I'm grateful to own a paid for home, have income, and my health. It's incredibly hurtful how cruel people I thought cared about me have treated me since my sons diagnosis, especially men, but I choose to focus on what I have and stay positive. ❤

Most people upon hearing this confuse "situation" with "assessment." If a situation is bad whether you react by being calm or not, is not important, what matters is not being in that situation. The assessment won't change. It's still gonna be bad.
