yo i'm telling yall, its really good to hand write your stuff, since our letters are never all the same, you'll remember the shape, the place, it's crazy bro, i stopped using just my phone a long time ago, the good ideas allways stay with you. I draw lil marks and symbols in the pages, beside the verses. Even stopped smoking weed after 10 years smoking everyday, when you don't feel inspired, get on the mic and rap some of your favorite artists verses, mix them help a lot. .

I May dislike his music but i still take some of his ideas and I give him props for making it from the streets to the stars.

As a stan I love this video.

I found myself writing verses everyday but now I think I'm going to word cluster everything instead, focusing on the rhyme schemes and wordplay rather than the songs message.

I think it's easier to formulate a message than craftsmanship

A really good technique Ive recently started doing is writing what I call "Freeflows" (not to be confused with 'Freestyles') which are essentially nonlinear nonsense joke songs as a exercise to stretch my mind and allow a complete freeflow of ideas no matter how odd, nonsensical, stupid, funny, whatever, if it rhymes I jot it down and then over a few days Ill go back over the "Freeflow" adding more and more ideas, rarely removing anything, just moving ideas around, and taking the best ideas, punchlines, premises, rhyme schemes, etc, from these "freeflows" to be used in other real verses. Its definitely helped me open my mind up and keep the creativity high, especially if Im having some writers block on my real songs Ill just add to my latest Freeflows so Im at least writing something. Typically Ill put a simple rule in place to keep it interesting, for example my last one "Whats Possible with a Possum?"< this is my starting line, from there I have to make as many rhymes as I can that rhyme with "possum" as often as I can and see how long I can make the "Freeflow", right now Im 4 pages in on this one and its help me come up with alot of funny ridiculous ideas I can use in other verses Im writing..

I’m 37 and have only just started putting music up on YouTube. Eminem inspired me to begin but for years I battled self doubt and the opinions of others, finally decided to just do it for the fun of doing it and have music on my channel now. I might be a bit old to have started but f**k it, it’s something I wanted to do so I did it.

Cool too know that all creative fileds are similar that consistency beats " waiting for inspiration". Consistency seeds criativity.

After watching this video, I now find this very inspiring and interesting to watch because the way Eminem writes music differently and his writing process to me looks a bit weird (for example: the lyrics for lose yourself look like zig zags), but creative at the same time.

I don’t really need to do this much now, but I still do it. If I don’t want to forget my cadence and melody, I will do a voice recording memo on my phone so I don’t forget how my cadence and melody sounds. If you are new, this will help you so much.

Hello Cole brother How do rappers use rhymes in phrases and how do they know that this rhyme is good to use in their phrases?

I moved to a new place with the the 3 large duffle bags full of notebooks which were full of my thoughts and ideas musically; syllable types, rhymes, rhyme and rhythm theories, song ideas, words, phrases, clauses, sentence structure, why all these and specific rhyme schemes and cadences evoke certain reactions mathematically with examples, list goes on and on. Anyway they were all placed in the basement and it flooded now everything's destroyed/unreadable. All stuff i could have gone through and used. Kinda like when Eminem lost his Britany Spears notebook but multiply that by a factor of roughly 60 notebooks ive worked on. Really sucks.
