Watched this because this was the shortest video there! So easy to understand! Thank you. To all the others : we're all studying, nobody has 20 minutes to hear you talk about pulling a lever ;)

Variable ratio: Gambling

Thank you SO MUCH for this video. Studying for an exam and wasn't quite getting variable ratio schedules, and I came to YouTube. This video was short, got to the point, explained very clearly and it's all I need. Thank you very much.

this video goes straight to the point in explaining schedule of reinforcement. This video is a simplified version of the 1st video.

I think my response to learning this topic was a variable interval schedule pattern. The interest did hold me otherwise a negative reinforcement was due. :>

Fixed Interval: Waiting a SPECIFIED amount of time until being reinforced. (being paid every 2 weeks)
-Low response rate that increase when closer to reinforcements

Variable interval: Waiting for a particular amount of time until being reinforced (elevators)

Fixed Ratio: Being reinforced for an x # of times

Variable Ratios: Doing something an unspecified # of times to until reinforcements (gambling)

I think I'm having difficulty understanding what "a response" is on the y-axis. Is this just the operant?

The definitions were great, but the examples didn't apply to working with clients. This would be much more helpful if the example was shown during DTT, DTI, etc
