2021 Eyeshadow Palette Ranking - Ranking Every Palette I Purchased This Year

I'm ranking every eyeshadow palette I purchased in 2021. There are 34 palettes, and they're being ranked from worst to best. I'm not going to list them below. I totally agree with Viseart being top notch. I know I can always get a good look, especially out of the small 8 pan and small 12 pan palettes. I just picked up Cashmerie and it is a lovely add to my stash. Have an amazing holiday!

I also got the Tom Ford quad from the Lucky Bag, and had a similar reaction. I think it was after your declutter video, I pulled mine out again, and I tried it out with my finger because I was being lazy. It worked much better, made a nice look, and stayed all day without primer or anything. I was astonished. I still agree about the lack of good differentiation between the dark colors. I also bought the Viseart Paris Etoile as well, and it had a slightly similar problem - all the dark colors blend into each other on the eye, and some of the colors are darker than they look on the eye. I have to get another Viseart palette to finish up a look with a nice middle color.

I enjoyed your list! I, too, love my Viseart and Wayne Goss palettes. A new brand I tried in 2021 is Oden’s Eye. Some of their color stories are too bright for this older gal’s comfort zone, but I so enjoy my Alva and Solmane palettes for the pretty mattes and stunning shimmers. They would be at the top of my 2021 palette list.

I got that Tom Ford also in my Lucky Bag and I love that pink shadow, I use that shade often and add that plum color just a tad on my outer corner, stays all day and I use them dry, I’ll have to try it wet, didn’t know. That Essence in the green shades is very pretty, used it today. I keep forgetting I have that Mountain Trail bundle from Sidney Grace.

Robert Welch MUA says eye primer is not needed if you use a quality eyeshadow. You just proved it with your reviews. He doesn’t use it either.

The Signature Palette from Vanity Makeup Cosmetics. I have a couple PMG Mothership palettes and it's much better than them in formula.
