Tribit stormbox micro 2 - $60 - 8/10 -
A really great sounding speaker at an affordable price and also very compact. Perfect for biking or the beach.
In addition, an application with an equalizer and a battery indicator is available

Soundcore Motion 300 - $80 - 7/10 -
Great sounding speaker with a nice customizable EQ and an adaptive EQ that changes the sound depending on position. But it can distort sometimes

JBL Partybox Encore - $300-330 - 9/10 -
A good loudspeaker with deep bass for a party. It has an equalizer app and has bass boost options that make it even better

In my opinion the JBL BB3 is not worth $300 more than the tribit. If you want to save money, the tribit makes the most sense.

That to mid-high dip in kHz on the tribit is it’s only problem. Besides that it’s a brilliant speaker. It sounds great but that dip makes it lose some definition. I love my Blast it’s just that one con.

The Tribit is definitely very much bass boosted in this comparison while the jbl isn't. I've compared both and the JBL has way more Bass when both play on stock EQ. And when you apply the same EQ to both, the JBL's bass is even better.

From what I've heard, the BB 3 has a more open treble and mids, but as the volume increases, the mids and trebles overpower the smoothness. But the Tribit still has a softer sound. Higher pitch and I like tribit better.

Tribit has lights, and it's battery is 2x as big, oh and it costs much less, easy W. No one should be getting the boom box 3, especially since the Jbl encore is cheaper and better for outdoor use.

The jbl app eq is very effective for the boombox 3, for the boombox 2 it was comparatively very modest. Can you test the function of the EQ and then compare them again?

I can't imagine that Tribit dose perform really really well compared to BB3. I've chosen Tribit to save up money.
