Can you make a update spotlight of Mekanism?Because this spotlight is really outdated.

I don't even care about an update spotlight. I just really like watching this spotlight to see how things used to be. I started playing modded minecraft in 2020, and it's just really funny to see how Mekanism was back then. Like there was voltage? And you could just craft enriched alloy in the crafting bench? That's wild.

EDIT: WTF mekanism had weather/time changers? Also the gas tank at 12:00 is sus

direwolf make a new spotlight on this mod please because its terribly old and only 15% accurate to what mekanism is today

a lot of people are asking, can we please get an updated spotlight on Mekanism. this one hardly applies to Mekanism as it stands now.

Appreciate the review. You are helping me and the rest of the UE team so much with these!

I can see Dire having a lot of fun with the teleporter combined with the MFFS security station.

Tacomage has an adequate mod spotlight that goes over the updated blocks, especially the fusion reactor.

From what you're seeing now, yes, there's only infrastructure, ore processing, tools, and a few things like the watches and teleporters. I've never taken a hard look at what's in the UE mod pack, but direwolf seems to be starting with infrastructure and going deeper, deeper, deeper. I'd just wait and see until we're at the end of our journey to fairly judge if UE and its addons are simply an alternative to BC/IC2 and others.

I agree with corey8084 and was about to ask if you could do an updated mekanism spotlight?

Absolutely! I'm starting to like all these machines, and I think I'm gonna start a world with the UE modpack right now!

I think this pack really starts to shine as you get up to atomic science (some really amazing nuclear reactors, though yes, IC2 has those too) and ICBM, personally I also like the look of the UE blocks more (though in my own worlds I do usually use IC2). The main advantage of UE is that it creates a universally accessible electricity API, the appeal I think being that you only have the one power net to manage (though here again, I enjoy intertwining my BC, IC and RP power nets).

Dire didn't mention it in the spotlight, but all machines can be powered using UE, BC or IC2 electricity. The mod was originally nowhere as complex as this, but it evolved as I joined the UE team to feature the machines it has now.

Please do a new spotlight in this mod, it's one of the coolest tech mods out there, but this version is horribly outdated (and maybe consider adding it to the pack)

This is like all the other mods you mentioned early game is what i find, yet when you get to higher tier machines and start delving into ICBM then it gets quite unique.

Last time I checked, the closest thing you'll get for IC2 objects to be "animated" is when you drop an item on the ground and it spins around (unless you have your settings down to low, then it would be igniting ITNT in mid-air.)

This is why it is it's own modpack.

The thing i most love about this mod is the machine models

You could always just use IC2 everywhere and electrical engines from forestry to run the MJ needing machines. Mix it with BC3 gates, and the engines will start only when there's work to do (so you basically duplicate the Redstone Cubes from TE). Oh, and you can run electrical engines on any "voltage" so you can minimise the losses.

Dire's multiplayer stuff is on the Forgecraft server, which is for modders only, or specific people like DW. The general public is definitely not allowed.
