I'm going to make strong suggestion as a DeWalt tools owner for a couple decades... and an owner of a 20V string trimmer for about the last 7 years - the DeWalt string spool/head is OK at best. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to the Speed Feed 400 (Shindaiwa/Echo are branded options). It's a super easy direct fit and will work a lot better and last a lot longer. The best part - it's a super easy speed feed refill - you just thread the line through the head, and then turn it by hand to wind it into the spool... no fumbling around hand winding etc.
