I made my girlfriend try some Ardbeg Ten (she's not a peat smoke fan). After the first sip she says, hey there's some lemon in there ;) love her.

I'm surprised you haven't reviewed Ardbeg 10 yet. Didn't you say you'd get around to it like 3 years ago? Haha

Agreed with Ardbeg 10 at #1, it really is a standard bearer especially at the price point. Springbank 10 is a close second for me.

Love the choices Rob. Especially the Ardbeg 10. It's an unbelievable value. One whisky I highly recommend is Bladnoch 10. It's only $50 here in Florida. It's not peated, but it's delicious. It's a great summertime whisky, so you might want to wait considering you're in

The Ledaig, Ardbeg and Port Charlotte 10s are up near the top of my list. My order might be a little different but I won't quibble.

I'm a bit surprised that Glencadam 10 is not on your list, but now I have to think about trying that GlenAllachie 10 Portwood!

Really high praise for that Glenallachie and I do agree that the standard Ardbeg 10 is top notch. I also learned that the word Port can be used as a verb, as in "ported". Cheers Rob

The Ardbeg 10 and the Port Charlotte are the only ones I can find in the GTA - at least according to the LCBO site. I'll have to give the Ardbeg a try. Haven't gone down the heavily peated rabbit hole yet, so might as well jump in the deep end.

Nice list, i am fond of the hazelburn and springbank and of course the ardbeg ten is the "WWE Undertaker" of the lot here... there may be technically fancier and special bottlings over the years, but the Ardbeg ten itself is a case study of longevity and consistency. Have you by chance tried the bladnoch 10? Its a lighter style of lowland with some grassy and confectionary elements. yummy :)

No one was my first heavy peated scotch and fell in love 🖤. Cheers brother 🥃

Great list Rob! Huge Ardbeg fan (although right now I'm loving the Laphroaig 10 CS). Two years ago at Costco they were selling Ardbeg 10 gift boxes with the 50ml sampler bottles of Uigeadal and Corryvrecken for so I bought 5 of them!

Ardbeg 10 is one of my favorite cold evening whiskies.

Laphroaig and Ardberg 10! You can go wrong with them. Plus, they are affordable! Good stuff!

Dry January for me as well, and yes, I keep watching to punish myself.

Yep, the Ardbeg 10 is *THE NECTAR OF THE GODS!*
When a friend introduced me to it, my nose was initially intimidated due to its strong burned tire smell, but once it splashed over my tongue it was like tastin' heaven!
It rated my highest: *LAAAAWWWWDDDD HAVE MERCY!*

Think this 10 year old category needs to be split into two groups unpeated and peated. Hazelburn 10 is a great choice in the unpeated category and think my favorite would be Glencadam 10. Cheers

Dollar for dollar, Glengoyne 10, 100%, but Ardbeg 10 is a gem too.

Totally agree with you (haven't had the craig port 10) . One of my top 10's is the Glenfarclas 10 especially when you think that it is sherry matured, natural colour ( ok minus point its 40%) and where I am I can pick this up for €26 ( about $28).👍😁😁🥃

In case you were wondering, the list is:
6. Hazelburn 10
5. Port Charlotte Heavily Peated 10
4. Springbank 10
3. Ledaig 10
2. Glenallachie 10 Port
1. Ardbeg 10
What happened to Laphroig and Talisker?
