This is my first time in Kolkata, India. 🇮🇳 In this video we are going to explore a lot of things in this fascinating city known as the "City of Joy"

We will rent a scooter, try a yellow taxi, get Indian mustaches, visit the Victoria Memorial, Howrah bridge, Indian Coffee house, College street, Kumartuli, Hooghly river, Mother Teresa of Calcutta house and so much more...

Kolkata is one of India’s largest and most culturally vibrant cities.

So sit back, relax and enjoy this video. 😉

Best,
Gabi

I highly appreciate this video. I am an American and about 20 years ago I worked for a large international bank that sent me to lead some projects in Kolkata. It was a surreal experience. I basically lived there for about a year staying at the Hyatt Grand Regency in Salt Lake Sector. My friends and I would go hang out at the Roxxy at the Park Hotel every weekend. I made some great friends, ate some great food, got sick a bunch, and generally had the time of my life. Kolkata is a city like no other in my opinion. I've traveled quite a bit through western Europe, but India was as far away from home as I have ever been. I still have contacts and friends that keep in touch on social media. The greatest lesson I learned as a young man back then was that deep down most good humans are all the same. We just want to live the best life we can, support our families if we have them in peace and safety. Thank you for allowing me to relive that adventure from so long ago, my friend. India is a special place.

Kolkata's like the old grandfather of Indian cities. It was the first metropolis in India and by now it's seen it all. Right now Mumbai is where you find the glitz and glam of a thriving economy and Delhi's the home of political powerplay. Meanwhile, Kolkata's like "Been there, done that. Let's just chill." With a mix of "Ah, the good old days."

Hi Habi, I just came back to Europe from India. Kolkata was the first city I visited and my very first experience of India. As a "beginner" it was kind of a crash course experience : very intense, but I loved it ! I spent 4 days in Kolkata and I appreciated it more for each day. I recognize most places you visited ; your video put a smile on my face. I went straight past the Indian Cofffee house, but yet I missed it somehow 😅. Kolkata isn't one of the most touristic cities, and you can really go everywhere unnoticed without hassle. People leave you alone. I appreciated that a lot. I liked the vibe of Kolkata.

I became traumatized that you are in Kolkata but never heard of Rabindranath Tagore !! Bengali society of the whole world called him Gurudev . The most honoured person .

Kolkata is one of the best cities in India. It has a very beautiful very warm vibe like no other. I feel extremely free and safe traveling all around Bengal. The city has a beautiful mix of old heritage culture and new modern technology. I have lived in many cities all around in India but nothing's like Kolkata. I am in absolute love with Kolkata and it's people ❤.

26:29 actually that guy was saying to give him the money, he will go to petrol pump and bring you petrol. But you shouldn't trust anyone randomly out of nowhere. And Gabi, Kolkata has the most well managed traffic in India, which proper zebra crossings and traffic signals which people obey. Hope you enjoyed. Thank you. 🙏🏻

Those are not fake books. These are low price edition of the actual books published mainly for India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri lanka etc.

Bihari says kolkata is the worst because it's their habit to defame the city where they migrate. They say Bangladeshi to Bengali speakers.

Those scammers are not Bengali. They come from other parts of India.
The guy you met on college street book store, that is the vibe of Bengal.

You should visit North West Bengal and Sikkim. Particularly Kalimpong, Kurseong, Darjeeling, Pelling and Gangtok. There is a road called Rishi Road which straddles India and Nepal. On the left side of Rishi Road is Nepal and right side is India.
