HORRIBLE News About The Nintendo Switch 2 Price

Nintendo did not reveal the price in the Nintendo Switch 2 Nintendo Direct. There is a VERY good reason why..... Mario Kart World sets a BAD precedent for Nintendo going foward.

It is crazy that they had the audacity to charge people for the Nintendo Switch 2 Tour game. At least Sony had the decency to give people Astro's Playroom for free, as a preinstalled title. It's just a tech demo. They are charging people for informational software that has minigames.

It's not just $80. It's $80 DIGITAL. The physical version is rumored to be $90. Genuinely asinine.
EDIT: Ok, apparently the issue of digital/physical prices is in Europe. I can't tell you why, hopefully someone more educated in the topic can, but that seems to be what's going on. But regardless, the $80 price tag is not something people should just lie down and accept. Vote with your wallets, people.

This is completely unexpected. I had no idea they were pricing the system at $450 or games at $80, which is insane. I thought the Zelda game being $70 meant that all games for the sequel system would be $70, but then they announced paid upgrades for that $70 game which was a bad omen.

Believe me, I hate it. And I'm afraid of it setting a horrible precedent. Not to mention, this price point could be disastrous for smaller games, like a new Mario Party. For bigger games, this higher price tag is an easier pill to swallow, but for smaller games, and games that don't warrant that price point, those series are going to hurt.

This feels like Nintendo following in PlayStation and Xbox's footsteps and making their hardware and games premium products. Nintendo used to pride themselves on having affordable hardware. I'm looking at everything I'm going to need, the console, a Pro Controller, the new Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Air Ride sequel, plus the upgrades for Jamboree and Forgotten Land, and accessories like the camera, I'm NOT happy about this at all.

I'm disabled. I don't have a ton of income, and I struggle to survive everyday because things are so expensive. I love video games, but I fear I'm going to be priced out of what I love because I'm not going to be able to keep up with these prices. Industry analysts think Grand Theft Auto VI should be $100, and we know if that is allowed, other companies will follow suit, and we'll see that it becomes the standard for games going forward.

You're part of the problem if you're still going to get it at these prices. Companies will see the success of this game and automatically upcharge their games. I refuse to pay 90 dollars for a physical edition of any mario kart

In Europe, Mario Kart will cost 80 euros as the digital version and 90 EUROS PHYSICAL. This is beyond madness, I won't buy any of this shit, I don't care how good it is

Apparently the price is cheaper in Japan when Yen is translated to USD, so I have absolutely no clue what’s going on. All I’m saying is that these prices are making me fear that we might have another Wii U on our hands.
