Rafik / rk4130's 2021 BMX Flatland Bike Check

Показать описание
This is Rafik's 2021 BMX Flatland bike setup.
I have been riding quite a few bikes since I started, from cheap complete bikes to "replica" frames.
This is my current setup (might be a few new parts along the way), it's built around a Quamen Clad G8 frame which I acquired in 2008 with KHE Tanaka forks; since 2008 to 2020 the bike didn't change much. 2021 saw a few component changes, namely the Nous Reverse 35mm stem (previously was running St. Martin x26 stem), Colony Exon 1.75 tires (was using Odyssey Freq-G previously) and recently acquired the Far East Cycles 'Turbo' chromoly crank arms with titanium spindle and bolts (saved about 200g off the bike weight!)
The frame and fork was previously both white, recently custom painted metallic grey for the frame and flat black for the fork.
Future plans include a totally brand new wheel setup (lighter rims, hubs).
Probably a full-titanium crankset and some other components like handlebars, forks...
One part I probably won't change any time soon is the Quamen frame; the geometry's perfect for me, albeit having an 'obsolete' Euro BB, the frame weighs less than 2kg and it's super-stiff too.
Age is catching up, so I have to keep the bike weight down!
