Would've could've should've.
There is a man called James Howells currently still digging in a UK landfill for a computer hard drive with 8000 Bitcoins wirth over $500 million. Dude threw it iut by accident. Whole documentary about it. He said all he thinks about day in and day out is "What could've been". The man has been digging for over a decade and suing to continue digging, and will probably spend the rest of his life digging in garbage looking for the hard drive if he gets his way.

It's easy to look at what could have been. It's not like the guy looked at his diminishing stocks and went " I know this will be worth 100 billion one day but imma cash out now " He saw that his investments were plummeting and cashed out before they were worthless. It's not 'a hard pill to swallow' it was a smart move to cash out it just so happened that it all turned around in a big way afterwards. Maybe he was short-sighted or maybe not but I know that if I saw that my shit was worth 3 mill and now it was sinking to 500k, i'd cash out too.

I remember reading a case study about Amazon when I was studying for a marketing degree in 2001 and learned that the company had not made a profit yet and was thinking at the time what was the point in all the money that was currently being invested. now as one of the worlds most valuable companies I realise the value of that investment.

Magic Johnson was one of the first athletes approached by Phil Knight for a endorsement Deal. He offered Magic shares in Nike versus what Adidas was going to pay Magic, which was $30, 000 a year.

Magic Johnson's accountant turned it down. 2 years ago in an interview Magic Johnson said had he accepted those shares, they would be worth over $34 billion today.

My family are contractors in SW PA we had a bunch of crappy property we built homes on early 90s...thanks to gulf war and mine fire we didnt do very great we almost had to move into one of them, but all those who bought the houses are now swimming in Marcellus shall money...no point in dwelling 🤷‍♂️

Is it hard to swallow though? If he was broke at the time then it was probably worth it. Money is relative.
