$1M might not be enough when I retire, but it sure as hell beats having $0.

The projections and charts that don't use inflation adjusted dollars can be iffy (they paint an overly optimistic view), but if it's done primarily for the sake of highlighting the power of compounding interest I'm cool with 'em.

Well it's true what they say. The first million is the hardest.

It seems like your money is growing so slowly in the beginning, but in the 10 or so years from retirement is when it really starts picking up momentum. Stick it out people.

$1 million seemed impossible as a child. Now it feels like not enough. I wonder if $1 billion will feel like not enough in my lifetime. 🤔

That doesn’t answer my question of whether I’ll need $3m

I really enjoy The Money Guys, but their confrontational stance against using inflation-adjusted numbers confuses me. When they plan their clients’ financial futures, do they rely on inflation-adjusted or non-inflation-adjusted numbers? What purpose do non-inflation-adjusted numbers serve, other than creating a "wow" factor?

I love this. Everyone gets so mad and uses inflation as a reason to not invest. I don't care what a million dollars is going to "feel like" 40 years from now. I care that Im saving and investing and that is the only way to have financial safety ESPECIALLY given the rate of inflation. Everyone using inflation as a scapegoat for your poor financial habits, keep it up

I can't tell whether this is a serious video or not and that scares me tremendously. We need to know for the sake of our futures. Your troll comment is only muddying the waters

So the trolls are the ones that point out that inflation is real?

Not really a troll to point out things that are definitely true. $1 will be worth less in 10 years than today. Younger people will be more responsible for their retirement than their parents. Wow. So heavy on the trolling.
