Song doesn’t go well at all in context. This is a moment of complete despair and emptiness as Thorfinn’s entire reason for living just ceased in an instant and without the anger and hatred that fueled him all that’s left is a hollow shell of a man. Personally I think ‘Murders’ by Miracle Musical would fit perfectly (specifically 2:50 to 3:17)

It's a saying that "you are as strong as you are calm and forgiving" don't know the origin exactly but i Guess it's from Chinese or Japanese culture. But it's a very beautiful depiction of someone's strength, cuz strength comes from the spirit, you have a positive spirit, you have a loving life even in this harsh and cruel world.
