I couldn't agree more. I think the beauty of this song is how powerful and gospel-centered the lyrics are. 'There is only one God, He's the only way to Salvation!" You don't see a lot of CCM or P&W with lyrics this straightforward.

So uplifted and encouraged in Christ the first time I listened to this song :] And as far as the lyrics, I actually really like them because they are so simple, got plans to sing this in worship with the little Sunday school kids at my church; they can handle a tune this easy and get the gospel too! No complaints here XD

actually these words are hugely weighty - they talk about how the only way to really worship God is through Jesus.. How is a declaration of what God has done in restoring us to relationship with him anything but praise?

I think you may be confusing a level of depth with poetic style. It doesn't get any deeper than the objective truth of the Gospel bro. This lyrically isn't weighty in a poetic sense(like old hymns), but totally gives you the meat needed to worship. We need nothing more than the Son of God given for sinners to evoke brokeness and worship.

This song is based on scripture and it totally contradicts the teaching of the trinity. There is only one God. Jesus is the mediator (high priest) between God Almighty and man.

Nice tune and all but can't we do lyrics that are actually poetic? Feels like singing a statement of faith. The Psalms were all original works of poetry usually meant to be sung. Poetry does not have to lack meaning or theological profundity.

Personally thought the words were a bit of a let down, very surface level. I find it hard to really worship when the words dont carry much weight. Sure they are true, but I want to praise God with my mind too.
