For those that are wondering why at the start is воды and not воду its because of the partitive genitive or something like that. Its used to describe a number or amount of something hence its воды and not воду. For masculine nouns the ending is -у

Funny, genitive of вода, воды, in the past and in the future. In the present the accusative воду! There must be a mental association here that is not logical to me!
