He said AI would be smarter than any human, he never said AI would replace all jobs in a year. AI is learning very quickly and can retain the knowledge more than most people at this point but it can be tricked with false information as well. The problem is, AI is already taking jobs. Just look at the tech layoffs the past two years. Those jobs aren't coming back which is why the layoffs keep coming. These were well paying jobs where people could afford a home and support a family.

Doesn't matter if it takes 5 years, or another 10.. AI is on a path to replace most ALL existing "labor". That much is inevitable. And yet our economic system says people must "labor" to obtain the basic resources they need to survive. So we face a major problem in the next few years, that we cannot ignore, and should be undeniable to anyone paying attention.
Our ONLY option is to change how our economic system works, and if we want to avoid chaos and the destruction of the middle class, we need to demand policymakers start preparing NOW, with major transitional policies to help workers get by. This really needs to be the central election issue!
