After seeing the Italdesign Aztec on this list, they actually reached out to Doug about letting him review the Columbus, a two story mini van they created. It’s in the comments of the video where he discusses cars he wants to review the most! Everyone, please upvote this so he sees it!

Doug is the type of guy to break into a car to steal the owners manual

The Sultan of Brunei and Doug need to do a collab. It would be the best car review video of all time.

I actually knew of 3 of these cars thanks to video games! The Cizeta *and* the Cadillac Cien were featured in Gran Turismo 4, which I played to death as a kid, and the Nissan R390 is notably in Forza Horizon 5. Notably, the Cien could be won in GT4 pretty early on, and was a super overpowered car in the early stages. In my first playthrough, I drove that thing almost exclusively, it was a monster.

The Cadillac Cien was a great mention. The car was so futuristic at the time they used it in the movie “The Island”. It was also in some racing games along with some of these others back in the early 2000’s. Super cool car.

Doug, the Cadillac Cien was actually produced. GM made three of them. They were featured in the movie "The Island" starring Ewan McGregor & Scarlett Johansson. The V12, and two versions with a V8, one manual transmission, one automatic. In the commentary for the film, Ewan even goes in depth as to how cautious everyone on set had to be around the car & yes, he did drive one of the three...though he never states which version. GM went so far as to accept deposits for the car (I should know as my father put down a deposit & still has the deposit paperwork somewhere. If I find it, I'll email to you). A interesting sidenote to all this, GM kept all three at their Detroit facility where they stored many of the important & unique cars. About 5 years after being stored GM wanted to show them...and one of them, the V8 manual transmission was missing. To date, it has never been found or seen.

Doug should build and brand his own limited-edition supercar, then sell it on CarsAndBids ✊✊ . . . call it a “DeMuro Quirk”

Not only had I heard of 9 out of the 10 cars on the list (I'm sad) - I've actually been in one! My Dad worked for the Australian Lamborghini importer at the time the Silhouette was made and they imported at least one into Australia. I remember being in the passenger seat when Dad drove it in to go on display at the Sydney Motor Show.

Cizeta Moroder V16T was also connected with Sammy Hagar and Edward Van Halen since their Italian car mechanic, Zampoli was one of the guys responsible for the car. At the time the car was revealed, the designer Gandini said that this was what he envisioned for the Diablo, but Chrysler (then owner of Lamborghini) watered down his design to the softer Diablo.

16:42 I was so hoping he was gonna mention the Chrysler ME-412 but I'm glad the Cien is getting recognition too!

The Isdera Commendatore 112i and the Isdera Imperator 108i are worth mentioning. Beautiful supercars that few know about.

i love all the Cadillac concepts, the Cien and Sixteen, but the concept i love the most was the line up introduced in the 2010s, the Ciel (convertible), El Miraj (coupe), and Escala (sedan), i hope they can put those into production, i'll kill to buy one of it

Another car i feel like should be on this list is the Ford GT-90. It was a concept car, meant to be the spiritual successor to the original GT-40, that never went into full production but one model was made for show in 1995. It has a quad turbo V-12 which is crazy to think about coming from Ford especially in the 90's and is currently on display in Oklahoma. There's at least one video online that I know of showing the car running with its proper drivetrain and it sounds phenomenal. (there was a top gear episode featuring it but the engine wasn't properly set up for the road test and didn't have the turbos hooked up)

Fun fact, the R390 has been codeveloped by Nissan and... TWR ! The same ones who helped Jaguar to produce the XJR15 that Doug presented a few months ago. The R390 is directly inspired by the Jaguar that had just retired from the 24h of Le Mans after many successes in the 80's and early 90's.

Another interesting supercar is the Venturi Atlantique. It was made of fiberglass and had a mid-engine V6. There were also the East German Melkus sportscars, the Czech MTX Tatra V8, and the Russian Marussia supercars.

The Cadillac Cien is so amazing. It actually has a great amount of screen time in Michael bay’s the island. Ewan McGregor get to hoon that thing around Los Angeles a bit and it’s awesome. Between that and the Chrysler me412, we could have had such an incredible era of American HyperCars…

The Aixam micro cars weren’t electric, but instead had like a 400-500cc twin cylinder engine. In Finland you used to be able to drive them with a moped license (50cc bikes), which you can get at the age of 15 (vs 18 for a regular driver’s license).

Got to see the Cien (as well as the Cyclone, LeMans and Sixteen concepts ) at the Gilmore museum in Michigan in 2021. It was surreal having both the Cien and Sixteen in front of me, as I LOVED both of them as a kid in Midnight Club 3. The door is power operated (at least the passenger one is. The handlers from the GM Heritage center overlooking the concepts were getting in and out from the passenger side), and it sounds like a real hot rod. Runs and drives just fine around the museum campus. I should upload the videos I have of the concepts.
