It's crazy to me how they keep saying the MVP is an individual award, yet they also say the team isn't good enough for Burrow to win the MVP.. It doesn't make any sense. Either it's an individual award and shouldn't matter if the team makes the playoffs, or it's an individual award with consideration in how your team is doing and how popular the person is.. They keep changing the standards and need to be more consistent. I'm not sure what else Burrow needs to do, they are near the bottom of the league with their horrible defense, the special teams have let him down several times in the closing minutes of games, the run game is near the bottom of the league, the coaching is mediocre at best, the offensive line is near the bottom of the league and gives up a ton of sacks and constant pressure, all the while Burrow has 4, 641 yards (1st), 42 TD (1st), 76.7 GBR (3rd), 69.8% CMP (5th), 290 yds/g (1st), 109.8 passer rating, 424 completions (1st), 1st in Pro Football Focus (PFF) passing grade, 1st in passing success rate, 1st in PFF passing grade when pressured, 2nd in PFF overall grade, 2nd in completion percentage over expectation, 3rd in ESPN QBR, 4th in expected points added (EPA) per play, 4th in adjusted yards per attempt, 6th in adjusted net yards per attempt, 7th in PFF big time throw rate, 4th in PFF turnover worthy throw rate, 5th in PFF adjusted completion percentage, and 5th in interception rate. Burrow deserves the MVP this season
