Interesting. Most classic Metal without distortion sounds like either blues rock, country rock or surf rock. But Nu-Metal without distortion reminds me of the Alternative Indie Rock of the late 80s to mid 90s (i.e. Pavement, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, etc.)
