Thank you for the info on the 888. Couldn't get Zebco to give me the answers after writing 2x. For such a large reel the line capacity is XXXX. Just thought i'd try it out but not now. Thank you very much:)

Zebco Omega gear ratio isn't all that fast but I know it's very durable because I used it for many years. At least 10 years. There was a video who was holding a brand new Zebco omega and telling people the rubber cover button will have a tear eventually but I digress with that guy. Mine went through lots of abuse and was never ripped and still rubbery. I'm not a fan of omega though. Thinking of aiming for bullet model. This model is ok for people who don't mind slow detrivel. I want 5 retrieval rate at min.

All brass gears in the Omega. My Zo2 is heavy & solid quality. 👍

None of those can backréel, which makes them much less fun to use.

I wouldn't trade my old 1956 Zebco Spinner Model 33 for any of those pieces of plastic junk. All Zebco reels made after 1983 are JUNK compared to the older reels. I have been fishing since the early 60's and I have tried a LOT of newer Zebco reels and NONE can hold a candle to the old ones. Even the Old Omega beats the newer model.
