1) Parentheses or grouping symbols.
2) Exponents or radicals
3) Multiplication or Division (from left to right)
4) Addition or Subtraction (from left to right)

HELP help Please. At the minute mark 10:53 please explain why the 24 is changed to a negative. in the problem
= 4 - 12 x 2 + 9 = 4 + (-24) +9 HUH?? thanks for all your videos. You have helped me learn algebra at 54 while teaching a student at home. But this has got me lost. Thanks a bunch. Have a great day.
