I had a small cutting cake that sat on my sweetheart table as decor and that is where we cut our cake. Then we had a cupcake cart for everyone to grab a cup cake.

I had a simple wedding cake to cut and serve to guests even though neither my husband nor I really even eat cake. haha! My sister had pies in all sorts of flavors at her wedding, and that was pretty fun! I think my ideal would be cookies, but I don't think I'd do the cookie cake since I actually don't like frosting. It could be fun to have just lots and lots of cookies in a few different options.

I went to a wedding once that made tiered trays out of antique plates and tea cups. These were the centerpieces and instead of a wedding cake, they covered the trays with all kinds of beautiful cupcakes. There were probably 5-6 different kinds.. Chocolate, vanilla, lemon, red velvet, carrot. So gorgeous and delicious!
