In this iconic opening scene from The Polar Express (2004), a boy (voiced by Josh Hutcherson) who is skeptical of his beliefs about Santa Claus gets a rumbling awakening from a train outside his house on Christmas Eve night. Upon sprinting outside, the boy finds a train and its conductor (voiced by Tom Hanks), who invites him on a journey to the North Pole in hopes of restoring his doubts about Santa Claus.

When the train begins to depart, you can see the motion of the engine move slowly before yanking backward a bit—causing a chain reaction of bumping before the cars actually move. That's a really nice detail as an animator and train fanatic.
