System trumps motivation any day. Proven by a valedictorian.

I remember being so annoyed and upset in 8th grade because I finally had a class with someone who got better grades than I did. I wanted so hard to hate him, but gosh darn, he was literally the nicest person I have ever met. He never rubbed it in anyone's face, but he knew he was smart and was quick to help any of us with any schoolwork and even led little fun-fact lessons in class every once in awhile. Gosh, he was such a great guy, i hear he's still doin well, lord knows he deserves to ^-^

Phone is the biggest distraction now a days, I've started building a habit of not using the phone before going to school and after coming back, and when I'm studying and I really want to check the phone I just write what I want to check and after studying I do the things I wrote,
it's like a reward and it motivates me to do my work And I've also started using your tip of doing homework in the school and it saves so much time because before using it, I had homework and so many things to revise and I always used to end up procrastinating or waiting for motivation but after doing my homework in school, I have so much more time and I can divide everything and study each subject. Thank you so much Amyyy

the sleeping thing is SO REAL. I sleep at least 8 hours a day and I find that if I study a little bit but sleep a good amount, I do way better than studying a lot and sleeping less. I think that my brain probably just retains information a lot better when I sleep a bunch

damn the weighting for tiny rural schools is so wildly different. I'm taking two APs this year, five in total, but my school only offers nine altogether so I'm technically taking most of them. And I'm set to be valedictorian 💀 pays to go to little itty bitty school ig

The ONLY PERSON ON THE INTERNET WHO TALKS ABOUT ACADEMIC STUFFS THAT ARE ACTUALLY HELPFUL IM SO AGGRESSIVE LOL please please make a video on how to prepare for exams (really important ones) 4 months before. Like a study plan or something. It includes 11 subjects. Will really appreciate it 🤎

Hey, you. Yes you 🫵 stop comparing yourself to people like this. You're doing amazing, and her experiences and opportunities can make her success look much different than your success, but neither one is better. Now go to sleep so you can rest that big beautiful brain of yours <33

I did too! I dropped out 3mos before graduation bc my parents got in some serious trouble. I transferred like 8 times in HS so my records hadn’t come in for my rank at the new school. They called and told me to come back. I was valedictorian lol

I’m meant to be doing my homework now because I have a maths test in 4 days but I’m really overwhelmed because my school put me in an advanced class that I can barely keep up with. I told myself that I would watch one YouTube short before I go back to studying and this happened to be the short 😭

Your videos are very inspirational. I have an intellectual disability that I guess is "mild" but it still affects my academics which is frustrating. It's nice to see you live your life uninhibited by those challenges and Ifeel like I live vicariously through your success ❤

I never set goals as student, I just tried my very best, so i wont have regrets; even though i was not a valedictorian, i graduated with honors. I have to juggle chores and dont even have time to play or have any free time to study, because in a sense i was slave driven because of so much housework. I also have sugar probablem and was constantly, hungry and tired. I realized later on in life that the reason that i was really good at memorization and studying at a very short time. So i would get perfect scores in almost all my test, but the reason my grades are not as high us that my school project which is about 20% of my entire marks are either incomplete or missing. I realized because of time constraints, i only study the parts that I am familiar with, and I had developed an ability of what i called hyper focused. I was able to study irregardless of how noise a place or how destracting my surroundings. I only see and what i am trying to study and hear my thoughts and nothing else. I would also read my text book and do the exercises when i have any time so by the time the teacher explained or teach the subject or topic I have already done it and I am already 3-5 chapters ahead, so when test comes all i need to do is review, which can take about 30-60mins depending on how much i already knew. Which most of my classmates would take 10-20hrs of studying for a monthly or term exam. I grew up poor and can't afford to buy the supplies for my project, and have to help my grandparents take care of 5 other kids in our household
