How to find favourites on YouTube (November 2020)

Favourites has gone missing on YouTube once more. Here I explain how to find it.
Method one - left hand side of initial screen find Library then below your watch history you have playlists and in there you have favourites.
Method two - go to YouTube studio, third list down is playlists and the oldest playlist is your favourites.

This video replaces the one I did in June 2017 which was the last time I noticed that the playlists had gone missing.

I am sure it will go missing again and if I find the favourites then I shall tell you where to find them.

I actually searched for so long I forgot what video I was trying to find in my favorites.

As for Youtube and Google in general. I get the impression that people who design their websites do things like that on purpose. They change layouts, functionality of sites just make people's life more difficult. It's some kind of a nasty sense of humour. ;)

My favourites list is not missing or in another playlist, it has been DELETED. All were innocuous videos too.

They had put the favourite back on the side bar and now in 2024 they moved them again back to playlists again. Make up your mind youtube.

My favorite videos are on "favorite" list. Interesting videos are on "interesting" list. I didn't know how to use this until I started messing with the phone.

What is a "Favourite"? Is it a list of videos that you have told YouTube that you like best? If so how do we tell YouTube that you like a video more than all the others? I see the like button but it seems like you are talking about something different here. I have none in the area you showed us.

Thank you. BUT: I want OTHER PEOPLE to see and share my Favorites list, not just myself. Now, I have discovered that I CAN get Favorites for myself as follows: Go to the Playlist, as you describe, find the Favorites list, left-click on it and drag it into the sidebar on the left. Then, when I log on to my Channel, it is there for me to use. But if I am not logged in as myself, it is not there. I need to know how to get over this important part of the problem. Thanks again.
