Now guns have 3 enemies: rust, politicians, and termites.

I have over 30 years experience in carpentry, going through what I’d have to do in my head to build that honestly it would take me about 60 hours. This guy is definitely an expert, beautifully made and guaranteed way better than anything I could make.

I used to be a professional woodworker for many years, and now I do it from time to time as a hobby.

What I'm seeing here in your little video is a lot of hard work and dedication to be that precise in that accurate rendition of a .45 caliber 1911

I have the patience for many things, but that would not be one of them.

This is so cool! I was really happy to see that the locking lugs still exist, even though they can't be seen when the model is assembled.

Wow I would love to have one but can only imagine what the cost would be. Respect to the individual who made it. Very impressive.

That is fantastic. Considering the time it takes to make one that is obviously a labour of love by someone passionate about what they do.

I remember you showing this off years ago, maybe 8 years ago or something. Nice to see it again

Color me impressed. I've been doing some"from scratch" functional 3D prints, so I have an appreciation for how much effort goes into JUST the CAD part of such a beastie. A 1911 done in wood is QUITE impressive. WAY beyond anything I've atttempted so far with the printer.
