Swami Sivananda, a remarkable 128-year-old yogi from India, has garnered attention for his extraordinary longevity and vitality. Born on August 8, 1896, in Behala, India, Swami Sivananda attributes his long life to a disciplined lifestyle rooted in simplicity, spirituality, and yoga. Orphaned at a young age, he was taken in by a spiritual master, who guided him in the ways of yoga and a frugal lifestyle.

Swami Sivananda lives a life devoid of modern luxuries, adhering to a diet primarily consisting of boiled food without oil or spices, which includes rice and boiled daal (lentil stew). He practices yoga daily and abstains from indulgences such as smoking and alcohol. His daily routine is marked by regular yoga, meditation, and prayer, which he believes are the pillars of his health and longevity.

Despite his advanced age, Swami Sivananda remains active and physically fit, often participating in public yoga demonstrations and sharing his knowledge with others.
