Could you or someone please explain when to use the goat and yak brushes? More specific than just “finishing.” I’ve been using just the horse hair brush for all buffing needs, except for the mirror shine, for which I use a high shine chamois. What specific uses do the other brushes have? Perhaps a side by side clarifying video would help. Thanks.

Which brush do you recommend for a woven leather shoe (AE Leiden)? Any tips on how to shine them in general?

I have a different experience with the brushes.

There was quite a few shedding for the deluxe horsehair brushes I bought, maybe about 12-24 strands lost on the first go, there is less now but 2 to 3 strands still fall out every now and then.

The pig bristle however did show little to no shedding.

The goat initially showed little shedding but 3-5 strand falls out per use. It seems to have thinned out at this point. Am I brushing too hard, I wonder.
