I know it's a longer video but this content is what sets this channel apart. I love hearing your insights and suggestions on where to find similar conversations online.

I enjoyed this video so much! Entertaining and hugely informative. I have read 17 of the 29 and loved almost all of them. I think Crossroads will win, but am rooting for Love Songs. Of the long shots, I am rooting for Gordo. There’s only one I really don’t want to win (“Please don’t do this to me.”). I don’t think JCO has much of a chance this year, but a win would make one BookTuber ecstatic and his reaction video alone would justify the win.

Fantastic video. You have me wanting to read all the Pulitzer winners of the past. By my count I've only read nine of the past winners. I can't wait to see what book they choose as the winner for this year.

Why do I imagine a murder wall of book covers with sticky notes and string running off everywhere in your house as you to work out which works will be on your list? A great collections of titles and many of my favorites from last year and these last few months. But this is my first time at this rodeo, so I have no idea where to toss my allegiance. If I had to pick, I still would like to see The Great Circle get some literary book award love to secure a strong future and remain in print in the years ahead.

I still can't believe Love Songs wasn't on the Women's Prize Longlist. Shocking. The Trees is really good! The only thing is Everett doesn't really like literary prizes. I read The Prophets when it came out and really liked it but I don't think it will win. If The Sweetness of Water wins I'll be shocked. How Beautiful We Were is a beautifully written story. I would love to see it win but it probably won't. No One is Talking About This is a no for me too. I tried to read it but DNed. I'm with you on the don't do this to me. Great video!

Good morning. I am reading The Love Songs of W.E.B. du Bois. I love that book. I have a hold on The Trees. I am very interested in it. I have tried to read Franzen's books before and have yet to finish one. I agree please don't choose No One is Talking About It. I couldn't finish that one the first time I tried to read it. My favorite is The Love Songs.
Have a great day.

Great list, could definitely see any of those, I’d add Detransition Baby and My Year Abroad to the not likely but possible category.

Great video, I think you made a very good case for your top picks. I think Zorrie has a great chance just because of the story. Hell of A Book was a hell of a book and might slide under the radar as Well as My Year Abroad as it’s always checked out of the library. I’m going to go with Lincoln Highway as the winner, which I haven’t read but there is a 20 person wait for 8 copies at the local library. I don’t know of any other book that they have 8 copies of.

This was so interesting! Thank you for all of the background and interesting tidbits on the Pulitzer! And I've just started Love Songs - I think that seems like a pretty good bet for a win!

In a very strong year for female authors here are a few you didn't mention that I feel could muster consideration : OF WOMEN AND SALT by Gabriela Garcia, OLGA DIES DREAMING by Xochtl Gonzalez, THE PAPER PALACE by Miranda Cowley Heller, ANIMAL by Lisa Taddeo, THE FINAL REVIVAL OF OPAL & NEV by Dawnie Walton and there is also the Ozeki which I didn't like but am surprised you didn't mention.

Phew another big list. I had some problems with it but I think Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles is a strong contender (having said that I haven't yet read The Love Stories of WB du Bois). I would like to see Laird Hunt get some kudos though. Hmm..feels to me like a male winner this year?
