Their "math" problems are just calculations that look hard but are actually based off of simple tricks. No actual problem solving questions in this competition. Just hard core memeorization and repetition.

1:12. -17 x -19= -323 As far as I have learned maths. Negative times a negative makes a positive.

In england this isn't even advanced, they were allowed to use paper so it isn't even mental arithmetic, I learnt how do this in year 8

at 1:33 the kid said -17x-19=-323, a negative times a negative is a positive. The answer is supposed to be 323.

Who noticed that at 1:11 that the answer to -17x-19 is not -323 but it is positive 323. This is because the two negative signs equal or cancel out each other to create a positive

i wish they’d show how fast they actually work it out because it makes it seem like they know it straight away but obviously they don’t so it would be interesting to see how long it does take them
