I believe this rumor. The movie is suppose to start filming in December but at this point doesn’t seem close to filming. All we know at this point is only the director and Neve are on board. After all they’re still doing rewrites. They chased away Melissa and Jenna and have had nothing but trouble since.

I’m worried that this could be the weakest entry of the series. I’m glad the original cast is going to be back, but the question is, will Scream 7 backfire Spyglass’s faces by longtime Scream fans for not bringing back Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barera for dumb reasons. For one thing, movie studios cannot be trusted if you give the audience what they want.

Honestly, if Kevin Williamson is giving the writers a hard time it’s because the writing is bad like in Scream 5 and 6 and he knows! I trust Kevin 100%. Kevin can write a mystery that ties together beautifully. The writers of 5 and 6 can’t.
