Sphene’s consciousness getting brought back from the dead only for her to double down on her goal of cross-dimensional imperialism has earned her the status of professional hater.

Chill of Wuk Lamat to not question why there's suddenly 7 additional people there.

That violin part should have been much longer!

1:10 wish that part last longer, that violin is way more epic than the following with heroiish kind theme

I finally realized why this goes so hard.
Its basically a Kirby final boss tune

It's honestly refreshing to have a villain just double down and give my Xaela murder goblin a legit excuse to 'go loud'

wuk lamat's new voice lines go so hard what kind of fear did they strike into the voice director to get them redone

I have never heard the part from 3:40 onward since the boss dies super fast, thanks for the vid!

I'm not a musical professional, but there are a few things in this I notice, and it has *great* musical storytelling. Right as the music starts, we're met with these strong trumpets and guitars playing a jazzy kind of rock version of the main dawntrail theme, hitting just as hard as Wuk Lamat does. Then, seconds later at 1:10, the violins, take over, playing the dawntrail battle theme as we break from the cutscene and resume our fight with Sphene. After this, the violins come in and out, mostly in the background. But at the end of the fight, around 3:30, the roles switch: the violins are now playing the dawntrail theme, with the trumpets coming in to play the dawntrail battle theme afterwards. I think this is a really excellent way of showing how Sphene and Wuk Lamat are reflections of eachother, and further reinforcing their mirrored relationship even when they're literally fighting against eachother.

0:33 This part sounds like it could be the next episode preview for a Dawntrail anime. “Hey, it’s me, the Warrior of Light! We’ve helped Wuk Lamat pass the Feat of Proof, but we can’t relax yet. Bakool Ja Ja has released Valigarmanda from its prison, and now all of Tural is in danger! Is this all just to throw the Rite of Succession in his favor? He’s gone too far this time! Now it’s up to us to stop that beast before it becomes too powerful. Wait… Zarool Ja, you want to help too?! Next time on Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, don’t miss it!”

Wuk Lamat: "I don't get it, warrior of light. We did the thing where you try to save the good in someone. But she wants to do this anyway. What happened?"
Warrior of Light, putting action violins on his playlist: "We, my dear apprentice hero, just got what they call in the industry, a pass to go loud."

This wasn't about convincing her anymore. This was about giving her a good end.

I love that we've got to the point where phase 2 music for final bosses has our theme mixed in (Maker's Ruin)
