Beautiful sunny day at Oceanside, California. Started walking from north of The Strand Beach Boardwalk to Oceanside Pier then headed down south to the south of The Strand boardwalk. The Strand boardwalk is about 1.2 miles from Breakwater Bay Street to Wisconsin Ave.

Oceanside is a coastal city on California's South Coast. It is the third-largest city in San Diego County, California. The Oceanside Pier, first built in 1888 (and now in its sixth incarnation), is one of the longest wooden piers on the western United States coastline at 1,942 feet

I was born and raised in oceanside. I love it there. Now I live in tx. It took me a long time to get useto to tx. Now I like tx. But my heart always goes back oceanside. Theres been many times that I want to go back and live in oceanside. Now I'm in my 70's and know I can't afford living there. Back in the day we would just walk down mission st to go to the beach. We would spend the whole day there and walk back up mission st when it would start to get dark to go home. We did this every summer and sometimes weekends. I miss it sometimes very much !!

Thanks also for this video. I take my son for a walk along the pier and two kids playgrounds like 2-3 times a week and whenever he is fussy or is longing to go back he'll start whining, "agua, agua, agua!" And so I'll put this video on and he immediately calms down when he sees and hears the sounds of the beach.
