Moby - South Side feat. Gwen Stefani

Music: 'South Side' by Moby, from his 1999 studio album 'Play'.
Director: Joseph Kahn

More from Moby:

the 'southside' video is supposed to be an over the top, extreme quasi-parody of your standard hip-hop video. it's supposed to be ironic, me in a bentley with champagne and models. i'm a skinny little white kid, the irony is supposed to be that in the video i'm a fake-fur clad, gold tooth wearing, debauched rock star.

i mean, me break dancing? i think it's funny...oh well.

Gwen sounds the way angels should sound. It’s so soothing and sad at the same time. 24 yrs later and I still love this song.

Some of the greatest songs are the ones that make you feel happy and sad at the same exact time.... that's what beauty is...

I remember we visited California from the UK in May 2001 and my late father purchased this album on CD for our car rental. I remember it was so "appropriate" driving around LA and this playing and up to our drive to San Francisco by the coastal road. Later on it used to remind me of m now wife in a snowy Chicago driving around in a car with her friends. Compared to now, the 2000's seemed so much better.

This song is so... UNIQUE! They get to the chorus so quickly! And their voices blend so well together. Very memorable song!

People, this song is now 25 years old, thus entering the classic pop music genre.

But we all know 1999 will always be 10 years ago!

This song is pure perfection. I have never caught the ear worm as bad as when I first was blessed with this. I'm so glad that someone got to produce this eventually and made it the single, as it is single-handedly one of the most underrated songs of all time.

Believe it or not, this song remains his ONE and only song to ever Chart on the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at No. 14 in 2000. Good stuff.

Years from now when we're super old, these 50's through 2000s will carry special different meaning. I was 17 in 1999 my Parents were both the Ride

Everytime I watch this I can’t help but admire Gwen and observing how damn cool she is. She’s so COOL that It’s hypnotizing. Her dance for the last chorus is perfection

I remember when I used to call the radio to request this song. This album is one of the greatest. One of Moby's greatest (18 & Play). How I wish Moby would create this kind of music again.
